Description
The PP 62DSP offers everything that makes a modern plug & play amplifier: easy installation and maximum flexibility.
Integration into the vehicle is easy via the enclosed Plug & Play cable harness – no cable needs to be assembled or cut. The vehicle-specific DSP configuration provides the extensive sound setup database at www.audiotec-fischer.de .
The MATCH Extension Card slot allows expansion of the device with additional interfaces such as a Bluetooth ® audio streaming module or a high resolution audio USB sound card. In addition, the PP 62DSP offers the possibility of controlling further amplifiers via the 2-channel preamp output.
With the help of the professional yet user-friendly DSP PC-Tool software, it is also very easy to create an individual sound setup. The PP 62DSP can also be optionally configured as a 6-channel amplifier with 8 DSP channels, so that even the sound individualist gets his money’s worth.
Special features
MATCH Extension Card Slot
The MATCH PP 62DSP amplifier can be expanded by mounting a MATCH Extension Card (MEC) for other functions – for example, a Bluetooth ® audio streaming function, an optical digital input, or an auxiliary input.
Intelligent high-level input ADEP.2
Modern, factory-installed car radios are becoming increasingly intelligent in terms of diagnosing the connected speakers. If an amplifier is connected to the radio instead, it usually results in error messages up to the elimination of individual functions (such as faders). In addition, new circuit concepts generate asymmetries in the output signal in some radios, as a result of which overmodulation in the AD converter can occur.
The new ADEP.2 (Advanced Diagnostics Error Protection Generation 2) circuitry eliminates all of these problems without unduly stressing the radio’s speaker outputs at high levels.
Power Save Mode
The Power Save mode is implemented by default in all vehicle-specific sound setups as well as in the basic settings of the DSP PC-Tool software. It allows the power consumption of the PP 62DSP (and possibly additionally connected amplifiers) to be drastically reduced if no input signal is present for more than 60 seconds. It should be noted that today many vehicles are equipped with “CAN” or similar internal bus systems that leave the radio “invisible” to the user for up to 45 minutes, even if you have since left the vehicle and completed.
As soon as the “Power Save Mode” is active, the internal amplifier stages of the PP 62DSP and the remote output are switched off, reducing the current consumption to less than 250 mA. The amplifier returns to normal operating condition within 2 seconds as soon as a music signal is present at its input. It is also possible to vary the switch-off delay via the DSP PC-Tool software or to deactivate the “Power Save Mode” completely.
MicroSD
The MicroSD card reader is used to configure the DSP in the amplifier without having to connect a PC. A large number of vehicle-specific setups are available for free download on the website www.audiotec-fischer.com.
Simply download the desired setup and copy it to a MicroSD card. Then the MicroSD card is plugged into the amplifier and thus the transmission into the internal memory is started automatically. The amplifier is now fully configured to significantly enhance the sound system in your vehicle.
